Availability Solutions for Microsoft Windows

Syan offers two solutions for improving the availability of your Microsoft Windows servers – MIMIX for Windows and Double-Take.

MIMIX for Windows

MIMIX for Windows

High availability for Microsoft Windows-based servers is achieved by MIMIX for Windows through real-time data replication. MIMIX for Windows continuously replicates changes that occur on your primary servers to a backup server or server cluster. The backup server is always up-to-date, ready to handle consolidated reporting or tape backup tasks while users enjoy uninterrupted access to the primary servers.

MIMIX for Windows also simplifies your change-management efforts and even supports Disaster Recovery. Your backup server is always ready to take over operations whenever planned upgrades and maintenance or unplanned downtime events take your primary server off-line.

Integration with IBM i5 / iSeries

MIMIX for Windows affords the same level of Disaster Recovery, High Availability and Continuous Operations benefits of MIMIX for iSeries. This xSeries/iSeries integrated approach allows system administrators to leverage the benefits of server consolidation, simplify server management and maximize iSeries skill assets, while MIMIX for Windows provides significant gains in information availability across the enterprise.

Double-Take for Windows

Double-Take

Double-Take provides disaster recovery and real time data protection for your Windows 2000/NT Servers. Double-Take monitors file changes as they occur on one (or many) of your source servers.

With Double-Take, failover is fast and automatic. Your exposure to downtime is reduced or eliminated. Double-Take provides consistent solutions for Windows NT, 2000 and 2003. All products can be managed from GUI (Graphical User Interface), Text Based or Command Line Clients running supported platforms locally or remotely attached.
